「美」や「芸術」という言葉を今日の私たちは自明のものとして捉えている。だが、現代の状況の中ではこれらの概念はもはや自明ではなくなっており、再考をせまられている。そのため、本講義では美や芸術に関する歴史的な言説を振り返り、それらが現代にどのように影響を与えているかを考察する。
Today, we understand the‘beauty’and the‘arts’as clearly defined word. But these concepts are not clear now and must be rethought. So, in this lecture, we see historical discourses about the beauty and the arts and examine how they penetrate our thought.

Objectives and Outline of the Course

「美」や「芸術」という言葉を今日の私たちは自明のものとして捉えている。だが、現代の状況の中ではこれらの概念はもはや自明ではなくなっており、再考をせまられている。そのため、本講義では美や芸術に関する歴史的な言説を振り返り、それらが現代にどのように影響を与えているかを考察する。

Today, we understand the‘beauty’and the‘arts’as clearly defined word. But these concepts are not clear now and must be rethought. So, in this lecture, we see historical discourses about the beauty and the arts and examine how they penetrate our thought.

履修条件 Prerequisite(s)
美や芸術を単純に「楽しむ」だけではなく、それらについて「考える」意欲があることが望ましい。
Students should be interested not only in “enjoying” beauty and arts, but also in “thinking” about them.

授業時間外学習（予習・復習等） Required study time, Preparation and review
講義で配布した資料の内容を、次回までに復習して理解を深めておくこと。本学では1単位当たりの学修時間を45時間としています。毎回の授業にあわせて事前学修・事後学修を行ってください。
Review and deepen your understanding of the material distributed in the lecture before the next session. Please note that KIT requires 45 hours of study from students to award one credit, including both in-class instructions as well as study outside classes. Students are required to prepare for each class and complete the review after each class.

成績評価の方法及び基準 Grading Policy
講義毎に提出してもらうコメントシート(30％)と学期末のレポート(70%)で評価する。なお、5回以上欠席した場合は単位を認めない。
Evaluation will be based on the feedback submitted for each lecture (30%) and the End of semester reports (70%). No credit will be given for absences of more than 5 lectures.

留意事項等 Point to consider
・レポートは、文章を引用する際は、引用箇所が明確にわかるようにし、出典を記載すること。度を超えた引用は慎むこと。引用部分は誤字を含めて改変しないこと。・他人が作成したレポートを自分が作成したとして提出しないこと。
・When quoting passages, the report should clearly identify the quotation and state the source. Avoid excessive quotations. Do not alter quoted passages, including typographical errors. ・Do not submit reports prepared by others as if they were your own.
