授業の目的・概要 Objectives and Outline of the Course
本授は、MA Global Collaborative Design Practiceのカリキュラムの一部としても構成されており、実践的なプロジェクトを基本とする。そのため、本授業の主要言語は英語とする。授業では、社会とデザインの接点にある知識と方法を習得する。とりわけ、メタデザイン（協働デザインを可能にする構造の構築）やデザイン人類学に関連する分野を取り上げ、ソーシャルイノベーションや多様なアクターによる参加型デザインについて実践的に学ぶ。併せて、社会的な批評性やデザインコンセプトの定義など、関連するトピックスについても熟考し追求する機会を得る。この授業では、MA Global Collaborative Design Practiceの受講生をはじめとした、異なる文化的背景や思考を有する受講生間での協働を通じて、プロジェクトを完結させることが要求される。それにより、協働的・批評的な観点をもって、社会に介入するデザイン方法を学ぶ。
This class is also structured as part of the MA Global Collaborative Design Practice curriculum and is based on practical projects. For this reason, the primary language of this class will be English. In the course, students acquire knowledge and methods at the interface between society and design. In particular, the course will focus on fields related to metadesign (the construction of structures that enable collaborative design) and design anthropology, and will provide a practical introduction to social innovation and participatory design with diverse actors. At the same time, students will have the opportunity to contemplate and pursue related topics such as social criticality and the definition of design concepts. The course requires students to complete projects through collaboration between students from different cultural backgrounds and thinking, including students from the MA Global Collaborative Design Practice. In doing so, students learn how to design interventions in society from a collaborative and critical perspective.

Objectives and Outline of the Course

本授は、MA Global Collaborative Design Practiceのカリキュラムの一部としても構成されており、実践的なプロジェクトを基本とする。そのため、本授業の主要言語は英語とする。
授業では、社会とデザインの接点にある知識と方法を習得する。とりわけ、メタデザイン（協働デザインを可能にする構造の構築）やデザイン人類学に関連する分野を取り上げ、ソーシャルイノベーションや多様なアクターによる参加型デザインについて実践的に学ぶ。併せて、社会的な批評性やデザインコンセプトの定義など、関連するトピックスについても熟考し追求する機会を得る。

3.	分析、視点の整理	サーベイからの結果をもとに、分析、グループでのディスカッションを行う必要に応じて、フィールドサーベイを重ねる

授業時間外学習（予習・復習等） Required study time, Preparation and review
各授業に対し、次回授業時で求められるプロジェクト進捗のため、３時間以上の準備が求められる。加えて、最終作品プレゼンテーションの準備のために必要な時間を要する。本学では1単位当たりの学修時間を45時間としています。毎回の授業にあわせて事前学修・事後学修を行ってください。
A minimum of three hours of preparation is required between classes for the project progress required at the next class session. In addition, the time required for the preparation of the final presentation. Please note that KIT requires 45 hours of study from students to award one credit, including both in-class instructions as well as study outside classes. Students are required to prepare for each class and complete the review after each class.

各授業に対し、次回授業時で求められるプロジェクト進捗のため、３時間以上の準備が求められる。加えて、最終作品プレゼンテーションの準備のために必要な時間を要する。

本学では1単位当たりの学修時間を45時間としています。毎回の授業にあわせて事前学修・事後学修を行ってください。

授業の最後に科すグループでの最終プレゼンテーションと個人での報告書の内容を評価する（70％）、グループプロジェクトの過程に対する取り組み状況を授業内のショートプレゼンテーションに基づき評価する（30％）。合計点が 60 点以上を合格とする。なお、5 回以上欠席した場合は、期末試験および再試験の受験を認めない。
The content of the final group presentation and individual reports, which are required at the end of the course, will be assessed (70%), together with the level of commitment to the process of the group project based on short presentation within the classes (30%). To pass the course, students need a cumulative score of 60 or higher. However, students absent five or more times are ineligible to take the final exam or make up test.
