授業の目的・概要 Objectives and Outline of the Course
自然や芸術をまえにして私たちが感じ取る「感性的」なものとは、なにもその美しさだけではない。ならば、美のほかにどのような類いの「感性的」なるものがあり、それらは、美学や芸術学のなかでいったいどのように論じられてきたのだろうか。この授業では、西欧の美学で論じられてきた優美、崇高、悲劇、滑稽などに加え、日本の芸術論や哲学のなかで日本固有のものとして論じられてきた幽玄、あわれ、いきなども視野にいれながら、さまざまな感性的カテゴリーの内包と外延を明らかにしていく。　議論は、美術、音楽、演劇、建築、デザインにまたがるもっとも広義の「芸術」の作例に基づいて展開することとなる。
The aesthetic character of art is not limited to their beauty. Not only beauty but also various kinds of aesthetic character -such as glace, sublime, tragic, comical etc.- has been categorized in European philosophical aesthetics and theory of art. Additionally, some unique kinds of character has been categorized and analyzed as Japanese proper aesthetic categories in Japanese philosophy and theory of art. In this lecture, interpreting works of arts -such as painting, sculpture, music, theater, dance, literature, architecture, design, etc.-, we make clear the significance and meaning of different kinds of aesthetic categories.

授業の目的・概要
Objectives and Outline of the Course

　自然や芸術をまえにして私たちが感じ取る「感性的」なものとは、なにもその美しさだけではない。ならば、美のほかにどのような類いの「感性的」なるものがあり、それらは、美学や芸術学のなかでいったいどのように論じられてきたのだろうか。この授業では、西欧の美学で論じられてきた優美、崇高、悲劇、滑稽などに加え、日本の芸術論や哲学のなかで日本固有のものとして論じられてきた幽玄、あわれ、いきなども視野にいれながら、さまざまな感性的カテゴリーの内包と外延を明らかにしていく。
　議論は、美術、音楽、演劇、建築、デザインにまたがるもっとも広義の「芸術」の作例に基づいて展開することとなる。
　
　

The aesthetic character of art is not limited to their beauty. 造形芸術・建築・文学・音楽・舞台芸術など、広いジャンルに渡るの芸術の歴史と現状について、ある程度の基礎知識と興味をもっていることが望ましい。特に復習に力を入れ、各授業に対し、取り上げられた芸術家や思想に関する2.5時間程度の復習をすること。加えて、計2回のレポート作成のための学習時間を要する。本学では1単位当たりの学修時間を45時間としています。毎回の授業にあわせて事前学修・事後学修を行ってください。
Students who have certain knowledge and interest upon art of various genres, such as formative art, architecture, literature, music, theater etc., are welcome. It is necessary for the students to review the contents of the lecture by themselves after each class. Please note that KIT requires 45 hours of study from students to award one credit, including both in-class instructions as well as study outside classes. Students are required to prepare for each class and complete the review after each class.

成績評価の方法及び基準 Grading Policy
各トピックの終了ごとに課す小レポートの総計で成績を評価する。小レポート提出は数回行い、レポートごとに、授業内容の理解度（50％）、授業内容をふまえたうえでの各個人の視点からの考察力（50％）を問う。
Students are assigned two report-papers, one is mid-term report(50%) and the other is term-end report(50%). Students are assessed according to the amount points of these two report-papers.
