授業の目的・概要 Objectives and Outline of the Course
コンピューターの利用や情報インフラストラクチャーはますます加速しながら拡大、進歩し続けている。このめまぐるしく変化する情報環境に対応するため、コンピューターや情報ネットワークの概念やしくみを理解・応用するための基礎的知識を習得する事を目的とする。本科目では、コンピューターなどの情報機器のしくみやソフトウエアの利用法を解説するとともに、電子ジャーナルなど学内で利用できる情報リソースについて、セキュリティについてなど、本学学生にとって必須な事項について解説する。
This course is designed to acquire basic knowledge and skills of information technology. And this course also includes introduction of KIT resources.

授業の目的・概要
Objectives and Outline of the Course

コンピューターの利用や情報インフラストラクチャーはますます加速しながら拡大、進歩し続けている。このめまぐるしく変化する情報環境に対応するため、コンピューターや情報ネットワークの概念やしくみを理解・応用するための基礎的知識を習得する事を目的とする。本科目では、コンピューターなどの情報機器のしくみやソフトウエアの利用法を解説するとともに、電子ジャーナルなど学内で利用できる情報リソースについて、セキュリティについてなど、本学学生にとって必須な事項について解説する。

This course is designed to acquire basic knowledge and skills of information technology. And this course also includes introduction of KIT resources.

1．本学情報科学センターおよび本学の情報環境の利用に必要な知識を習得する。 2．本学の情報セキュリティポリシーの理解と徹底を行う。 3．情報セキュリティについて基本的な知識を習得する。 4．コンピューター及びインターネットの基本的な知識を習得する。 5．文献検索、学術データベース等の使い方を習得する。 6．Office系ソフトの基本的な機能や概念と学習・研究に活用できるだけのスキルを習得する。 7．HTML/Javascriptを通じてプログラミングの基礎を学ぶ。 8．スプレッドシートを使って、小規模データを集計・加工する方法を習得する。 9．データの適切な可視化手法を選択し、他者にデータを説明する方法を習得する。 10．データの特徴を読み解き、起きている事象の背景や意味合いを理解する方法を習得する。

It is recommended that each student own a computer and be able to utilize the information obtained in the lecture. ※ This course may be held online due to the university's policy regarding the prevention of new coronavirus infections. Please note that KIT requires 45 hours of study from students to award one credit, including both in-class instructions as well as study outside classes. Students are required to prepare for each class and complete the review after each class.
